Hi! I'm broadly interested in developing efficient and aligned intelligent systems. I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland studying computer science.

My current research interests are in ML systems (efficient training / inference & ML compilers), post-training, and AI alignment. Recently, I interned at Amazon Web Services in Seattle 🌧️, working on agent infrastructure in the Payments & Fraud organization.

Some other things about me:

  • I love games — I was formerly top 0.1% in VALORANT and am currently trying to improve at chess.
  • I'm an effective altruist and rationalist, and a founding member and current organizer for UMD's AI Safety group!
  • Check out some of my writing here.

Feel free to contact me at anishmaheshwar2@gmail.com!
